Forza Horizon 3 – XBOX ONE X 4K UPDATE!

As if the game wasn’t beautiful enough already with its beautiful green runs, sparkly beaches and nice blue sky that shows a well crafted and carefully moulded game that is Forza Horizon 3. Well, things just went a gear higher.

If you are a fan of the wonderful franchise that is Forza, you will know they are separated into 2 different types as of the last 7 or 8 years. There is the Forza Motorsport side, based on the core mechanics and simulator side of real racing, then there’s Forza Horizon, the fun, over-the-top action packed music themed racer. My personal favourite would be the Horizon series due to its more open world, modern music and festive atmosphere that makes the game constantly feel like an epic road trip around the country it is based in.

So, to the juicy info!

As of 15th January 2018, Forza Horizon 3 has got its booster installed followed by a new V12 Super charged…(I really don’t know cars so I hope that’s a thing!) graphics boost. Although this game looked and played wonderful on the original Xbox One and Xbox One S models, Playground Games & Turn 10 Studios had decided to give it a much more appreciated facelift, which they say was pretty “Straightforward” with the Xbox One X Dev kit.

After downloading the 4K update for Forza Horizon 3, you will notice an almost immediate change to graphics, visuals and how the game runs. The loading times will be shorter than what you are used to, providing your playing on the Xbox One X console. If trees popping in isn’t part of your enjoyable experience, then you will be happy to know the draw distance has been improved ¬†greatly so while your still in excitement and happiness from your current surroundings, you will not even notice the tree that just popped in a good mile or so away from your current location. A game that once showcased as one of Microsoft’s most beautiful games to showcase in time with its Xbox One S console too, they managed to push things to the top gear and change everything you thought was possible to make such a beautiful title. Some of the changes for graphical enhancements would come from many things such as shadows, load times, textures, stable frame rates, native 4K resolution and much more behind the scenes action to ensure that this title pushes out as much horsepower as it can on the Microsoft’s powerhouse console that is the Xbox One X.

Now it is time to go on a personal look on the changes, how it has changed my experience.

I have been a very happy and content gamer with the Forza Horizon series since it drifted to our consoles back on October 23rd 2016, since then, ive never really been able to confidently put my controller down during a championship, showcase or casual free roam session, whether that’s solo or with my buddies. Watching the franchise expand in both fan base and capabilities to each growing title, it really gives you shock and amazement at what we expected and the beauty we have been given. Now floor it back to 2016, Forza Horizon 3 has just come out, the game is being showcased globally and everyone is in pure amazement at what has been delivered. The crystal clear car designs, beautiful skies, silky soft sandy beaches and sky of Australia is delivered with such prestige, it makes any previous title look decades behind in overall development.

Now let us do another jump to 2018, Forza Horizon 3 has received the 4K update with all its juicy enhancements and lovers of the franchise are eager to burn some 4K rubber on the roads out Australia’s outback. When diving right in from playing on the standard vanilla version that came out back in 2016, you will notice a change right away, the image looks sharper, the cars have more pristine, fresh from the factory look about them while still being as loud and enjoyable to ride as ever. The textures for everything around you such as the roads, the grass, fields, and most importantly the beach and sky are the obvious and main selling point in terms of graphics for me personally. When first looking down to the beach or sky at first, you will start to question if this truly is a video game or actually a clip from a family film holiday video.

Moving over, if you are like me and like to drop in and out of the car during your drive such as an interior view so you can dribble over how beautiful the dash looks with all the buttons, leather and even shadows then you will notice this has too been bumped to the top settings of that similar to the PC version of Forza Horizon 3. If you do appreciate the inside of a car as much as I do, then you will not be disappointed with the interior makeover all these cars have seemed to have been subject too.

As usual, I don’t want to bore you with a clogged up blog article when all I aim to do is deliver the juicy info without being to filling and becoming over boring in the process. So to conclude this article in the best way possible, if you do enjoy Forza Horizon 3 and loved the titles graphics and gameplay, then this new update, providing you have an Xbox One X console will be no disappointment for anyone. This update will deliver the best experience you can have for this title on a console and make you respect the land on which you explore in this title more than ever before with every single drift, speed, turn and jump you make. especially when going off-road, give it a go, you will love the views.

Thanks for taking the time to read this article, a follow would be amazing and help towards my goal of having a studio for articles and content in 2019. Thanks again!
